When creating your ceremony for your baby naming, my role is to ensure a meaningful and personalised experience for the family, chosen mentors, extended family and friends. . I work very closely with you to so that the ceremony is written and conducted in alignment with your beliefs and preferences. During the ceremony, I'll guide the proceedings, incorporating rituals, blessings, and any other elements chosen by you. The ceremony will include words of wisdom, encouragement and support as the child is formally welcomed into the family community.
My role is to facilitate moments for all to share blessings, hopes and wishes for the child's future. Overall my aim is to create a memorable and magical experience that honours the significance of the occasion and celebrates the new life being welcomed into the world.
Note that a naming ceremony can happen at any age, it could be a newborn or a welcoming of an adopted family member or even the uniting of step children. There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to naming ceremonies and one of the most exciting aspects is creating something that is unique and special to you and your family.

Various Rituals and or Moments You May Wish to Consider
Write a poem, or some special words about your child to read at the ceremony,
or ask a special person to do a reading from one of your favourite childrens’ books or from a quotable source.
This can contain small gifts, photos, letters or written note cards. The capsule/box is presented to the child when they turn 18 or 21. Invite guests to bring an item of personal significance to place inside the time capsule/treasure box.
You can plant a special tree and invite guests to write their wish for your child on a piece of paper and they can hang their wishes on the branches.
Candles can be personalised and decorated with flowers, butterflies, sporting items, cars, child’s name, photo, date of birth, and a poem etc. The parents/guardians light the candles and make wishes for the child.
Different coloured sands are layered into a glass vessel by selected friends and/or family members
each colour representing a quality or wish they have chosen to bestow upon the child.
Guests write their wish for the child on a note and place it in a wishing well for the parents to read and keep for the child.
Release balloons to encourage your child’s spirit to bloom and grow.
For guests to sign, creating a permanent memento of the day and to keep a record of the guests who attended the celebration.
